Alice Gregory

I know next to nothing as yet about Alice Gregory, but her marvellous article about Sotheby’s which recently came up on Arts and Letters Daily led me to recommend it to my elder daughter, who quickly found another piece by the same author, about the dire effects of being wired in. It’s the best thing I’ve so far read on the subject, and also an exemplary piece of prose: two qualities that might not be unconnected. Here is the link:
