Leonard Conman is appearing over here in Paris for two nights. Tickets going for 95€ to 161€, apparently because he was ripped off to the tune of 5,000,000 dolars by his ex-manageress. He seems to want to get it back all at once. It's not the only reason I won't be going along, though: I could never understand what the old fraud was going on about (I recognise a real talent but like Dylan and many others he preferred pointless mystification to clarity) so God knows what the poor old Frogs are going to make of it.

You're being too harsh on Len. I saw the current show in Manchester, and it was sublime. The wondrous Webb sisters are worth the admission price alone. I even blogged about it- see the link if you are interested:
