Title: PoD Accommodation Post by JtJ on Today at 21:43 Now pay attention! Andy Love has already revealed that there is a Travel Lodge 1/2 mile from the venue. They're cheap as "hotels" go, aren't they? I'll do some Googling and get back to you. |

Title: Re: Ale for PoD Post by JtJ on Today at 22:21 Found it! http://www.travelodge.co.uk/travelodge/location.php?hotel_id=51 You can book online too. £25 or £45 per night (at first, hurried, look). Any opinions about Travel Lodges? Never used them myself. |

Title: Re: Ale for PoD Post by Gerry Smith on Today at 23:16 Thanks for your research, Julian. Have just done an availability check and no rooms are available under £75. Bummer. Looks like it's gonna be a dry affair... Gerry |

Title: Re: Ale for PoD Post by Keith Busby on 14.08.04 at 16:46 I can confirm high price of the Travelodge. I booked for 70 quid some time back. This seemed high to me for a relatively down-market chain. Maybe because it's close to Wimbledon. I couldn't find much else in the immediate vicinity. At least we won't have too far to stagger back. Title: Re: Ale for PoD Post by JtJ on 14.08.04 at 17:03 I've now booked too. £70 for the broom cupboard under the stairs. >:( Stone me....what a life! I'll be staggering behind you, Keith! |

Title: Re: Ale for PoD Post by Colin Crooks on 14.08.04 at 19:00 Count two more CAMRA members in for the ale. Like Andy this is my first post! We're also booked into the Travelodge - £70 is pricey but as you say it's in the decadent South-East and within the M25. |

Title: Re: Ale for PoD Post by John Waterfall on 14.08.04 at 23:47 There is a Premier Lodge only a couple of miles away from the venue at the more reasonable price of £58 per night. You pays your money and takes your choice! |

You were lucky! We could only get the big metal wheely bin out the back. And they've charged us extra for being in a quiet room away from the road :( Cheers Paul |
