Title: PoD Accommodation
Post by JtJ on Today at 21:43
Now pay attention!

Andy Love has already revealed that there is a Travel Lodge 1/2 mile from the venue.

They're cheap as "hotels" go, aren't they?

I'll do some Googling and get back to you.

Found it!

You can book online too.
£25 or £45 per night (at first, hurried, look).

Any opinions about Travel Lodges?
Never used them myself.

Thanks for your research, Julian.  Have just done an availability check and no rooms are available under £75.  Bummer.  Looks like it's gonna be a dry affair...

I can confirm high price of the Travelodge. I booked for 70 quid some time back. This seemed high to me for a relatively down-market chain. Maybe because it's close to Wimbledon. I couldn't find much else in the immediate vicinity. At least we won't have too far to stagger back.

I've now booked too.
£70 for the broom cupboard under the stairs.   >:(
Stone me....what a life!

I'll be staggering behind you, Keith!

Have copied hotel details to old list....just in case.
Have included URL of this thread too.

[Pint of fizzy lager for me, by the way!]
[Sorry!]

Count two more CAMRA members in for the ale.

Like Andy this is my first post!

We're also booked into the Travelodge - £70 is pricey but as you say it's in the decadent South-East and within the M25.

There is a Premier Lodge only a couple of miles away from the venue at the more reasonable price of £58 per night. You pays your money and takes your choice!

You were lucky! We could only get the big metal wheely bin out the back. And they've charged us extra for being in a quiet room away from the road :(

Cheers

Greetings,

I have a friend who has a B & B in New Malden, my wife and I have booked the double room.

A single and a twin bedded room is available.  If they are booked by PoD attendees then a '7 seater' can be booked to and from the venue, and the cost split. (The double is £45 per night)

If you are interested drop me a line at nick.adie@nickadie.com.

Regards
Nick

p.s I'm away for a couple of weeks, so don't expect an immediate reply ! ;D

Blimey, why the sudden rush of cancellations? Is anyone else apart from us still staying there? Should I cancel our reservation too? What do you know that I don't?! Please tell!

Paul

Paul, you are not alone.

Kate and I are staying at the Travelodge.

Mind you, knowing that you may prefer to be alone.

Hi Paul
mine is for personal reasons - spent too many nights apart from my baby - sorry, wife - recently so elected to drive home that night.
Nothing to do with the 'Odge! (what is the diminutive for Travelodge? - what a lovely word  :)
