Title: Beautiful strangers Post by naomi on Today at 22:17 Do we have a Midnight Voice subbing at The Mail on Sunday ?? If not, it looks like we at least have a fellow PA/CJ fan there. Said journal has a headline on page 3, no less (and on their website), that caught my eye today: "The danger of a beautiful stranger". According to the report, "research shows that for men just five minutes spent alone with beautiful stranger causes so much stress it may be bad for the heart". That may or - I would hope - may not be the case. But it makes a heck of a good song. ;) Naomi PS: I now see (on Google) that a few years ago Madonna recorded a song about a "beautiful stranger". I still hope that the sub's reference was to the PA/CJ song. |

It could be that he or she had in mind the late 12th - or early 13th century Arthurian verse romance, Le Bel Inconnu, written by French author Renaut de Beaujeu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renaud_de_Beaujeu), or even this poem by the English poet John Clare (http://www.johnclare.info/ ). Quote:
It just might be that there are some cultural omnivores subbing at The Mail on Sunday . It's a thought, isn't it? Kevin Cryan |
