Clive James has a very moving poem about his father in the latest TLS (October 8). He visits his father's grave at Sai Wan War Cemetery in Hong Kong and recalls his father saw a photograph of his young son

"The very day you flew to meet your death."

The poem is one of the most direct and emotionally charged Clive has published.
