Title: Sopranos
Post by Jan on Today at 09:37
There was a substantial article on the Sopranos by Clive James in last Saturday's Daily Telegraph, page 15 in the main section, part of the News Review on Saturday. I can't find it anywhere on the Telegraph website even when registered  :( . If it turns up I'll post the URL.

I hope I'm not the only person in the world who noticed "The Sopranos" while glancing through the TV guide and, visualising Maria Callas and that crowd, thought "I should watch that."

Naturally I forgot, and found out months later that it was a show about organised crime that I still should have watched. I still haven't, and it is lined up with shows like "West Wing" that are apparently essential viewing that I'll have to catch up with in the future.

There is a very tenuous link between "The West Wing" and Pete Atkin - anyone guess it?

Could it be the WW press secretary - commonly known as 'CJ'?!

Nope - that's not the one I was thinking of.

Sorry for the delay ... been away ..... so, a clue..........

One of the artist who appeared in it appeared in an earlier TV show with an artist who is connected with Pete. That's easy now!!

Ah, right... then it's The Voysey Inheritance (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0080106/), 1979 TV play with Julie Covington, also featuring (below five or more more well-known names) one Roger Rees, who played token Brit Lord John Marbury in Season 1 of The West Wing. Yes?

No doubt true but not the one I was thinking of! Yes the connection is of course Julie Covington but there's another co-star who appeared an episode of The West Wing.
