I've just spotted that the novelist Iain Banks is championing Screen-Freak as his "ultimate lyric" in the Let’s Get Lyrical campaign created and run by Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature

Hi Ian,
I did not put a link in because there is a link to the at the foot of Iain's full posting. If you don't want to use that one, then you might like to try this, or maybe this.

Banks' piece seems to have been edited rather ruthlessly: I can't imagine him quoting from Screen Freak without getting 'Atlantis down in bubbles, and Atlanta up in flames' precisely correct.
On the other hand, I can't imagine him picking Desperados Under the Eaves over Poor, Poor Pitiful Me either (or spelling it wrong).
