Dear All, I don't know they got on but there is a connection between Pete and Peter Skellern in that Pete produced PS in Peter Tinniswood's Uncle Mort's North Country. I hope this is enough to justify the following post as not "off topic" as TBH, it is a bit urgent. This message has a direct purpose and an indirect one. The direct purpose is to say that fans of the late Peter Skellern have a Kickstarter to release his excellent Happy Endings LP on CD (the last album you can't get on CD): https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mint-audio/peter-skellern-happy-endings-expanded-cd-edition Only tiny numbers of people are needed to make this happen but the right people are hard to reach. I had a strong suspicion that some voices would also admire Skellern (more for his own witty song writing than his covers). See, for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQgxuhykoJA This leads me to the more general question. What other artists (particularly less known ones) are Pete/Clive fans likely to like? A taste for "clever" lyrics has led me also to Tom Lehrer, Flanders and Swann, Kit and the Widow, Peter Skellern, Richard Stilgoe, Victoria Wood, Mitch Benn, ... This is not an invitation for a snob fest. I know that these other artists are generally much more "comedic" and don't drop poetry quotes like Clive does but I'd still argue that they are very skilled builders of songs. All the best, Edmund
