Songwriter Atkin is best known for his 1970s work with poet, critic and broadcaster Clive James. Together they wrote over 100 songs, to high critical acclaim on radio and in the popular music press. They're still writing, and on September 19th Pete brings his one-man show to the Lantern Theatre in Sheffield, where he'll air a couple of dozen songs old and new, to his own piano and guitar accompaniment. His tours always had a particularly strong following in the clubs and universities of the North, and this will be an occasion for fans to hear what he's been doing since making those six remarkable albums between 1970 and 1975.
