Chord transcription by Dave Jones with help from Ian Chippett.
Notes on chord shapes:
G - F - Bb - A sequence and G - F - Bb - A - B sequence
("The Omega Incabloc...") - if possible use F-shape
or barred-E at appropriate fret (3 for G etc.)
Personal preference here: make the A after Bb an A7.
----
B - Ebm7 - A - Dbm7 - G - etc. ("Got more jewels...")
- make B, A, G (and F# later) using F-shape or barred-E.
To make Ebm7, Dbm7, Bm7 - either use a barred-Am7
at the proper fret (6, 4 and 2 respectively)
OR (Pete's method)
For Ebm7 stop top 4 strings at 11th fret with third
finger, reach over to bass E string at 11th fret with
second finger, muting bass A string. For Dbm7, same at
9th fret, and so on.
Pros and cons: Pete's method is more challenging and
more fun, while barred-Am7 lets you descend
gracefully from the 7th fret, one fret at a time.
----
Db - Eb - F sequence ("knobs and screws and toggles...")
- a 'barred-A' sequence, starting with the bar at fret 4
and moving up two frets at a time.
----
A7sus4 - D string at 2nd fret, B string at third, rest open.
EADGBE
D9 - X54555
D on "drummer" - pull off and hammer on top string 2nd fret
for effect - listen to Pete do it.
(F# bass) - between Em and G play F# on the bass E string.
Try an effect where you let the top strings ring while
strumming the rhythm on the bass strings.
Otherwise normal chord shapes !
